Tit-Bits about us

Aim to be the best.

A computer-technology-based Nursery, Primary and Secondary school in Kuje-Abuja. School motto: Aim to be the Best. School colours: Burgundy, Navy Blue and Gold.

Mission

A model school for the application of computer science in education.

Aflon Digital Academy (ADA) is a model school for the application of computer science in education. We wish to make it possible for each student to develop his or her full potential in all spheres of human endeavour based on the application of technology. We intend to do this within the context of a sound academic structure, a secure and stimulating environment for all students, regardless of sex, creed or race.

We started our journey on Monday, January 10, 2005 with Mr Dan Opoku as the Head Teacher. By the end of the first term we were 65 students strong. In March 2026 we are now 415 students with 69 staff.

Structure

Aflon Digital Schools comprises two schools under one campus.

Two brands under one umbrella. When you apply, you'll pick which of the two your child is entering β€” the rest of the form adapts to that choice.

Facilities

Six hectares. Off-grid solar since 2019.

Aflon Education Centre is developed on 6 hectares of land β€” Plot No. CP 9, 11 & 12, Cadastral Zone AA2, Sector Centre B, Akin Fapohunda Way, Kuje-Abuja β€” off the expressway to Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport. Three classroom blocks including science and technology laboratories are already completed. Our events hall seats 800 persons.

We built a Technology Learning Centre through which four new subjects are part of our Junior and Senior Secondary curriculum. On 20 August 2019 we commissioned the Green Energy / Solar Power facility on campus: 102 solar panels, 40 kVA hybrid inverters and 60 kWh Tesla batteries. Save for a one-hour window on Saturday afternoons when boarders iron their clothes, we no longer need PHCN supply or generators.

Boarding

Two hostel blocks. Routines that work.

The first HOSTEL BLOCK came into use in October 2013. It offers a conducive learning environment for students away from the distractions at home, and solves the daily transportation problem. The second block, together with the dining hall and multi-purpose auditorium, has been completed. Internal roads and walkways are paved with interlocking stones.

Boarding is optional and can be chosen during application. Day students are equally welcome.

Extra-curricular

Excursions, industry visits and life-skills.

In addition to classroom teaching, part of every student's life is continuous excursions to places and institutions around us in the FCT. All students in the secondary classes were on excursion to the Model Skills Training Centre of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) at Maitama, Abuja. Over a four-day period, students were at the Electrical/Electronics and Mechatronics laboratories seeing first-hand industrial equipment as utilised in industry.

Recognition

End-of-session awards, zero tolerance for cutting corners.

Aflon has a platform for accomplished persons to share their life experiences with our audience of students, parents and the community of the FCT β€” a straight talk from the heart that gives practical meaning to making it in spite of all odds and vicissitudes of life. The ninth in the series, for the 2024/2025 session, was held on 26 July 2025 with speaker Hon. Justice Mabel Segun-Bello of the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Aflon students are encouraged to work hard towards being the best. We therefore have ZERO TOLERANCE for cutting corners to pass examinations. From January each year we run coaching every evening from 4–6 pm until the examination season is over in June. We have consistently produced results well above national standards.

Houses

Healthy competition between four houses.

Every student is sorted into one of four houses on enrolment. House points run through sports, debates and academic competitions across the term.
