Hostel Life at Aflon

Experience a home away from home with our vibrant, supportive, and enriching hostel community

Hostel Life at Aflon

Hostel life at Aflon Digital Academy provides a safe, caring atmosphere ideal for both intellectual and emotional growth. The aim is to foster a lively, happy community that operates from a stable base where the feeling of belonging to a large family is important. Boarders learn how to live, work and play in a community environment, sharing experiences with people of their age who originate from many different countries and cultural backgrounds.

Our hostel offers our students a unique opportunity for independence and personal growth. It is open to students from Primary 4 to SS3. Living in a mini-community on campus, students learn crucial life skills like managing daily routines, doing their laundry, and keeping their spaces clean. This environment also fosters strong friendships and a sense of camaraderie, as students share experiences, study together, and support one another.

Beyond the dorms, hostel life at Aflon is a vibrant setting for extracurricular activities. Our students explore their talents, join clubs, and participate in sports, all while developing resilience by navigating challenges like homesickness and sharing living spaces. This experience of shared living, often in dormitory-style rooms with common areas, is a memorable chapter of self-discovery and a chance for students to prepare for greater independence.

Afternoon and Night Preps

Prep is the structured time set aside for our students to study and complete their schoolwork. It provides a quiet, dedicated environment where students can focus on academics, prepare for exams, and finish assignments. Supervised by staff and prefects, this period promotes a disciplined routine, helping students stay focused and on top of their studies. It's a key part of the hostel experience, designed to support academic success. We offer two preps daily: one in the afternoon and one at night.

Feeding in the our hostel setting refers to the structured meal service provided to resident students. We have dedicated dining halls where students gather to eat. The school or hostel management prioritizes offering nutritious and balanced meals, usually covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with diverse options to cater to various dietary needs, and ensuring they are well-nourished and energized for their academic and daily routines. Sharing meals in this communal setting helps foster a strong sense of community and allows students to bond.
