Establishing a Virtual School Environment has been a life-long venture for Aflon Digital Academy and we are excited by the opportunities that it presents. Higher education is already moving rapidly into online and distance learning and therefore the skills learnt during this period will be useful for all students in the future.
Within our design of the Aflon Virtual School Environment, we have retained two core elements that we believe make us outstanding. Firstly, the live student-teacher interaction which is fundamental to all students making progress and achieving their full potential. Students gain so much from direct interaction with passionate and talented teachers. The second core element is the desire to maintain our personalised learning approach that treats every student as an individual and support them pastorally and academically at all times.
We believe that online learning will develop in all students the skills required for independent learning alongside the 21st Century skills to learn in digital environment.
Education is certainly changing and all at Aflon Digital Academy are keen to change with it.
WHAT WILL YOUR LOOK LIKE?
Guided e-learning will be provided for all students of all classes at Aflon Digital Academy. The School will continue to provide every possible opportunity, through a virtual school environment, for students to make progress.
Like JAMB, ADA to use Computer-based Testing
The world is gradually doing so much online these days. It is a very positive development that the government has adopted Computer-Based Testing (CBT) for future Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations. Aflon Digital Academy has done the same. We have acquired the software and the expertise to use computers for the conduct of tests in our school.
We have just conducted a pilot test, and the outcome is quite positive. It is a wonder why we have not tried out this option a long time ago. Change is definitely here with us, and ADA is part of the change: always striving for the very best. Our students will now undergo aptitude testing on weekly basis, without overloading the teachers.
In the long run, ADA will set up an online school that will provide distance learning service to anyone across Nigeria. The setup of Aflon Virtual School is gradual progressing. It is a matter of time.
